Spam UpdateAs many of you know there has been a significant increase in SPAM these last few months as hackers attempt to phish for information and marketing types flood our inboxes with unsolicited advertising.
In our last issue, we mentioned the impact of the Russian phishing virus β and ISP experts have also told me that it has been compounded by similar incidents originating in Southeast Asia and the Orient.
Our ISP provider recently sent me some figures that I found amazing:
βIn June of this year we identified and stopped 220,000 SPAM emails. In November, just 6 months later, we identified and stopped just over 1.5 million. That's a nearly 700% increase in SPAM.β
So if your e-mail seems to be running a little slow these days, just consider the impact of a 700% increase in spam.
