The address is 418 Chapala Street, between Haley & Gutierrez in Santa Barbara. Fred Fisher, president of E.L.M. Insurance Brokers, a leader in professional liability products for insurance agents in California, Oregon, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Idaho, Kansas and Wyoming will be the instructor.

About Fred Fisher
Frederick J. Fisher, J.D., President of E.L.M. has been actively involved in the professional liability arena for almost 30 years. In addition to experience in underwriting, adjustment, investigation and resolution of Professional Liability claims, he has lectured extensively and has authored over 50 articles in trade journals and periodicals. For realtors, he wrote BROKER BEWARE, Selling Real Estate within the Law. He is active in the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS) and has been a member of their board of trustees, served on the executive committee, and chaired the finance and budget committee, and the communication committee. In addition, he held the offices of secretary-treasurer, vice president and president. he remains a member of the industry review panel responsible for overseeing the RPLU Examination and is the senior technical advisor for The Professional Liability Manual publication by the International Risk Management Institute. This manual is required reading for the RPLU professional designation sponsored by The Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS). He testifies regularly as an expert witness in cases dealing with the duties and obligations of professionals as well as on coverage and claims-made issues. He recently introduced a new website, www.e-insurebynet.com whereby agents/broker and consumers can complete a real time, on line request for a professional liability coverage, have the information forwarded to various markets who have an appetite for that particular risk and then receive an indication back – many times within the hour.
