Current Assumption Whole Life Insurance
A type of Ordinary Life insurance available from a stock or mutual insurance company that credits current mortality experience and investment earnings to the insurance policy, either through the cash value account and/or the premium structure (in a stock company) or the dividend structure (in a mutual company). In either case:
Premiums are subject to change based on the company's mortality, expenses, and investment experience. The policyholder does not control the change; The cash value can be used by the policyholder to make loans, as is the case in traditional Ordinary Life insurance;
Just as in traditional Ordinary Life, a minimum amount of cash value is guaranteed; and The death benefit does not change.
