Anti-Stacking Provisions
Restrict the number of deductibles or multiple sets of limits that can be applied to a single-loss event. This provision can be used in policies that cover exposures with a long tail, triggering coverage under multiple policies. The provision will stipulate that one policy limit or deductible will apply to the occurrence in the event of a loss, as opposed to each policy's deductible and liability limit. Liability policies may include this provision so that claims as a result of a single occurrence are subject to one limit.

HIGH TECC 2007The 2007 HIGH TECC Conference in Vail, sponsored by The Automated Agency Report (TAAR) has concluded.
This year’s conference was a little different than the normal heavy emphasis on technology. The emphasis was actually focused on the generational variances in the utilization of technology – and how that impacts marketing, management, workflow, customer service, customer/employee satisfaction and much more.
Chris Amrhein, noted insurance educator, opened the conference with a half-day presentation entitled “Roadmap to the Generations: Plotting Your Path Through the Millennial Minefields”.
New presenters to HIGH TECC were Megan Mahan and James Omdahl of InsureMe.com. They held the audience captive with an extremely interesting and informative session on Search Engine Marketing: How Insurance Agents Can Take Advantage. Their session covered techniques for maximizing search engine performance in both pay-per-click and free search engine listings.
Other General Session presenters included Pat Alexander, Karen Anderson and host Steve Anderson, as well as ten participants in an open-mike Agency Systems Vendor Panel. And Steve Anderson wrapped the conference up with one of the conference’s annual favorites: Cool Tools, Gadgets & Gizmos.
Numerous breakout sessions were also conducted on niche topics by such well know industry experts as Tim Woods of Artizan, Mark Parrish of Ajasent, Inc., Laura Nettles of Nettles Consulting, Barry Klein of Ultimate Insurance Links, Jack Burke of Sound Marketing, Jerry Fetty of Computer Networking Services and Pat Alexander of PatAlexander.com,
Next years conference will be held July 20 – 23, 2008 at the Vail Marriott Resort.
Recordings of the general session speakers are available at www.soundmarketing.com/HT07.htm.
